We are here in North Dakota giving talks at a church in Beach, North Dakota. As long as we are staying right on the edge of the Theodore Roosevelt State Park, we decided to hike back into the Badlands and the grasslands of North Dakota and see the Petrified Forest. Along the way we came upon several bull bison and were somewhat concerned because the Park rangers say that they can be very dangerous. So we walked slowly. We also had an escape plan in case they charged. It was a marvelous hike walking in landscape like we've never seen before. At times it almost seemed like we are on another planet.
