Story:
My first attempt at the Presidential Traverse, starting on the top of the Presidential Range and doing all the peaks.  I slept the first night at a nearby motel and ended up at the Highland Center lodge where I took an AMC shuttle back to the parking lot. This was a minimal traverse, I included all the summits except Jackson and Webster.  I was a bit slower than I expected (a little bit less than 14 hours total and I was shooting for 12) so I came down at Mitzpah Springs Hut rather than do Webster Cliff.  Hiked a good bit of the traverse with hopsandscotch on his first traverse as well.
Tips:
It's very important that you get incredibly lucky and have amazing weather like I did :).  Oh, and remember sunscreen.  I had a hat, but my hands and nose got ravaged, which is in a lot of ways more draining than the leg fatigue.

With regards to the traverse itself, the first half was very bouldery and the second half was very easy, both in terrain and climb.  I found myself struggling with Adams and Jefferson but found a compromise with my legs afterward.

Yeah, mine was also reading above 19. Maybe they use a different waypoint granularity or something.

It was great hiking with you.

I find EveryTrail inacurate with the mileage. At the end of this trip my GPS read 19.3 miles.
