Story:
A hot July 4th hike. 7.2 miles round-trip. No big views. I'll add photos, soon.
I started at W. Pat Jennings Sr. Visitor Center and hiked east along Brushy Mountain. I turned around at the peak of Locust Mountain.
Tips:
The visitor center closes their gates at 4:30 on most days (earlier on holidays such as July 4th). There's parking along the road. One side is marked for emergency parking only, but the other side isn't. There's room for several cars on the open side.
