Just finished the 8.5 mile version of this hike with boy scouts. Great for a beginner backpack overnight at the Trail Camp and a great night sky view from the abandoned landing strip at the top. The huckleberries were ripe and delicious in Sept. but watch out for the yellow jackets! We got quite a few stings.
