OK, wasn't expecting this: Falling Trees, Thunder, Strong Winds and a Problem Forecast on an afternoon when it looked like it was just blue sky and a few little puffy clouds over to the east. But, our weather is notoriously fickle here in the NW and those little puffy clouds can turn into nice rain-sodden cumulus on a moment's notice. Which is what happened yesterday.

This was a late afternoon ride around the top of the hills in the Lakemont, Hilltop and Somerset neighborhoods of Bellevue, a route which is nice for the views that you can get in both directions - Lake Sammamish and the Cascades to the east, Lake Washington, the Puget Sound lowlands and the Olympics to the west. I always seem to stop for the same picture from the top of Somerset - sunlight reflecting off the water of the lake with the I-90 bridge perched in the foreground and Seattle silhouetted against the Olympics in the background is especially pretty in late Spring.
