Story:
Second day of the trip. Decided to do the ridge. Wasn't necessarily too long but we did climb like 1,000 feet in a 1.25 miles. The gps used said it was closer to 6 miles so this isn't too much off. This came out to about 1600 feet of gain and the view (what we saw of it) was pretty awesome. We went earlier in the morning and when we got to the top were still in the cloud. When the clouds cleared a little we saw another route and kept going a little farther but the climb had us beat. ( Oh and for those who don't see it, we did the return trip).

Tips:
Go when there are no clouds on the ridge. the rangers said that view was spectacular and can see most of the island. take plenty of water.
