Bench Trail to Bear Gulch Trail to Condor Gultch Trail - California, United States

Story:
After braving a freezing night in the tents (27 Deg), I set off from the campground on the Bench Trail. With me was Blair, Rob, Todd and Brian, leaving Hayden to tend the camp. The bench trail leaves the campground and follows a wash with several foot bridge crossings. Views of rolling hills and meadows give way to a wooded assent once we join the Bear Gulch trail to the day use area.

The Condor Gulch Trail started at the Bear Gulch day use area, and climbed relentlessly the whole way. We stopped at the overlook for lunch, after which Brian returned to the campground. After lunch Todd, Rob, Blair and I continued to the junction with the High Peaks Trail. Blair and I then returned to the day use area to take the shuttle back to camp.

Todd and Rob continued on the high peaks trail, and eventually returned to the day use area, barely catching the last tram of the day.

Since both Rob and Todd had the keys to the cars which stored the food and coats... we wondered what would happen. I am better prepared for our next adventure.
