Story:
Great views of the Anza Borrego Desert State park and beond. Take Interstate 8 East from San Diego, North on Sunrise Highway to Laguna Mt Lodge on left. Pick up Daily Pass for $5 and laguna Mountain Recreation Area Map for $2. We drove North just a couple of hundred yards and parkd in Picnic Area on right. We hiked North on Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) for 3 miles to just past Foster Point for spectacular views. Turned around and took the PCT to the parking lot.

Tips:
If we would have had more time, we would have hiked further North to Garnet Peak or taken a 12 mile loop around on PCT and Big Laguna Trail.

Great hike! My sister and I did this hike yesterday (5/20) and it was amazing! Perfect timing since all the flowers were blooming. After this hike we did one over in Laguna meadow. A perfect ~10 mile day! Also, both were relatively flat, which was really nice.
