Story:
The trip to Lewis Rocks is one of my favorite hikes in the area. It is a decent length for kids and the rocks are a blast to climb around on. The trail even had fewer complaints than usual because, as E. said, "It's like an obstacle course." So here are the details: The trailhead is on PA-233 between Pine Grove Furnace and Shippensburg road- the parking lot is almost directly on the border between Cumberland and Adams Counties. There are usually several cars parked here because the hike is rather popular. Follow the blue blazes down to the river and cross, but once across do not follow the blue blazes any more. These take you on the blueberry trail, which is okay, but not as spectacular. So once you cross the big river, head to your right and cross the little rivers to an obvious trail and head up along the river. There are multiple trails here, so be careful, but as long as you stick close to the river you will be fine. Head up until you get to the waterfalls and then you have two choices, head up the ridge to the right, or just go up to the right of the waterfalls. We chose the latter. It is a little steep, but not too bad. The little ones did fine (including the youngest, S-5).

Tips:
Don't follow the blue blazes the whole way. Keep to the right of the creek.
