Lake Lizzie Nature Preserve - Lake Lizzie Trail ...

Story: This preserve is a short drive from Saint Cloud. There are parts of the trail that you feel out in the country and other parts that do not. The Lake Lizzie Trail and Marsh Loop are well marked if you start from the southern portion of the property. However, on the return trip, you only see the back on the signs. There are a few spots, where if you are not paying attention you could get sidetracked. The trail, in parts, is loose sand, which is hard on the legs. The lake view at the end is very nice. The Marsh Loop has a great firm trail. I saw two young boar, but was not quick enough to snap a picture. There is also, what may be a sink hole in the center of the loop, which is interesting.
Tips: Don't try the utility easement, unless you have waiters.
