Group outing with 336 Area Hiking Group: http://www.meetup.com/336-Area-Hikers/events/44332682/ 
Trip was canceled previous weekend due to weather.  Parked at CC Camp Road off VA-8. Expected trail to be about 11 mi (based on NPS map).  EveryTrail app indicated it was over 14 mi.  Our route was more strenuous than moderate.  Especially the first two miles.  Beautiful views at the top.  Sunny, chilly and windy.  Temps were low 40s to low 50s.
