We started the day out at Elk Ridge Resort around 9:30 AM, shortly after sunrise. After an awesome breakfast at the lodge we headed out onto trail 212cc. The temperature was a beautiful -10 C.

Sections of the trail were pretty rough due to lower than season averages for snow but the scenery was still outstanding. There are points where the trail narrows. As long as you stick to the main trail route (212cc) you won't have any problems navigating this 40 kilometer circuit.
If you are heading past highway towards Montreal Lake and down to Candle Lake take extra fuel as its doubtful you could do the trip on 1 tank of gas. I drive a 2010 Yamaha Nytro XTX with about a 110 kilometer range which would be pushing the limits (I think) going to Candle Lake. I hope to do the trip on a future trip to the area.
The trail is easily ridden by novice snowmobilers and a great way to pass away 90 minutes of your time. There aren't as many scenic stops as the trails have further south at Anglin Lake but its still a great ride.
Back at Walleye pub for beers and wings. A perfect ending to a perfect morning ride!
Tips:
If you're heading out anywhere on the local trails grab a map from the local snowmobile association website. The Saskatchewan Snowmobiling website has maps for all areas of the province.
