Story:
fantastic little hike down to the top of the first cinder cone. Air was as still as could be, and completely silent within the crater-valley. Very few folks on the trail, too. Combined the silence of being in a closed room all by yourself, with the expansiveness of in a massive valley, being able to see for miles. Amazing experience.

Tips:
Bring at least a 1-1.5 liters of water with you. Weather was cooperative on the day I went, but I've heard it can be much worse. Significant elevation gain should be considered.
