Story:
This is another of my many group hikes. We put cars at the beginning and end of the walk and followed Capsey Creek upstream until we got to Kemp Branch which we followed up and out of the forest toward the road. This is not a well-worn route - it takes a bit of bravery & some bushwacking to make the way in and out. Once down to the creek, it gets easier to find a way. There are some dramatic rock walls that rise up and hang over the trail in places and the creek is scenic, but there are no falls on this outing - I might be getting spoiled now by all the other beautiful places in Alabama.

Tips:
This trail should be considered only in dry weather (ideally Fall and Winter). In some of the area we walked the trees around us held high-water debris above our heads. We had a small rain a couple days before this hike and the ground was damp and soft, but I managed to keep my feet dry all day even though I only wore sneakers & we crossed the creek probably a dozen times by hopping across slippery rocks.
