Story:
Disclosure: this is the inverse of my trip down so do not plan your time using this unless of course you do up really fast!
This hike starts as most in this area do where the elevation is gained through switchbacks through a mature forest. After about a mile the trail traverses the hill side for a bit before climbing through brush toward the meadow. While at this point the trail could stand some brushing out, the trail is still good. Once in the meadow, you can stop and just enjoy the views or continue on up to the saddle and or the summit of Goat.
