Story: Community Connection, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to trail access, history and preservation has mapped this trail from the Riverbend C-18 Triangle Preserve to an area local equestrians call Sunset Point. This ride starts at a community access gate for Palm Beach Country Estates and is commonly enjoyed in the late afternoon. It is approx. 45 min. each way at a walk with beautiful sunsets over the water at the point where the C-18 Canal turns west. An equestrian tradition, over the last decade, is to face the horses into the sunset and be perfectly quiet in the solitude. It is amazing how quiet and tranquil the experience can be. The trail follows the natural surfaced maintenance road which is bordered by the C-18 Canal on the west side and the Loxahatchee Slough Natural Area on the east side. As it goes toward Riverbend Park, the trail follows the border of Palm Beach Country Estates. Remember, Nothing says "Thank you" like Staying on the Trails.
