Story:
The 2011 Rushmore Pilgrimage Hike. Troop 114 hiked the Lincoln Trail beginning at the Samelius Trail Head and ending at Mt. Rushmore. The weather was perfect for a hike, sunny with a slight breeze in the 70's. We had 10 boys and 5 adults hike. They all completed the hike. One boy and 3 adults did not hike, they met us at the lunch stop with sandwich stuff and then cooked supper for us.

Troop 114 managed to stay in the middle of the pack. For the first time in a long time we were not the last people dragging into the end of the trail. This year the trail ended at Mt. Rushmore instead of starting there. We had some pressure to get there on time so we would not miss the ceremony. We did get there and Troop 114 won the out of council golden boot again this year.
