Jeep Compass Road Test 1 - California, United States

Heading up into the Cleveland National Forest Mountains on a great stretch of pavement called Oretga Hwy.  The winding roads and tight turns were fun and the Jeep hugged them well, giving us a thrill but feeling in control.  We started this track just off Ortega after driving up from I-5 near Laguna Hills.  The little road took us up a two lane paved road with many turn outs with beautiful vistas. There were a few campgrounds at the top of the road.  We followed a loop that brought us back to Ortega Hwy where we shot back down to suburbia.

The Compass is a very versatile and capable vehicle.  It fits well in Suburbia or up in the hills when you take it out to play.  In 4WD it performed excellent around the tight turns and ensured comfort and control up in the mountains.
