Story:
A great training hike in preparation for our actual climb of Mt. Rainier (coming up - Labor Day weekend). Since this is the first part of our actual climb, it was a great "trial run" to Camp Muir (10,000'). You start at Paradise lodge (5,500'). We made it up to Muir in 4 hours with 35-37 lbs packs. Pretty good. Beautiful day, and there were a lot of people on the mountain.

Tips:
If the sun is out and you're hiking on snow, bring lots of sunscreen!
