Story:
We stopped at Tropical Kayak in Palm Coast at the marina to rent a yak. Then off to Haw Creek. The launch was from the picnic area off of CR 2007. Back road access was not paved.
The water around the launch area had the green growth on the surface. Not algae. Evidently this is common in this area. There were a few areas with heavy weed growth but we were able to push through them. There was also a tree that fell across the creek (not completely) that partially blocked the route back. Just making that note in case others see trees fallen there. It is possible apparently.
This is a beautiful unspoiled creek. It obviously is left to let nature take it's course. Birds, fish jumping, gators, turtle, deer. I wonder what other critters were out there spying on us while we paddled.

Tips:
Bug spray was helpful. No areas that we passed were agreeable to pull in. We saw many alligators ... don't go swimming!
