Story:
Walked a pleasant 2+ miles on the trails through a section of the Kitsap County Parks Department's Newberry Hill Heritage Park. Had to turn around at the north end of the beaver pond on the Beaver Pond Loop because of water completely covering the trail. A boardwalk is under construction at the south end, but was passable. Beautiful second growth forest on the east side, with understory of salal, evergreen huckleberry, and rhododendron.
