Story:
We had planned to camp out at Piney Lake, but due to this years record snow fall the area was closed. Instead we drove down to Leadville and took the train ride up into the mountains. Beautiful trip and lots of fun.

Tips:
When you are at the train depot, often times it is windy and cold. We bought a few extra jackets for the kids and packed blankets. Once we got going on the train the sun in the open cars warmed everyone up. We actually got hot. So if it is a nice sunny day, don't worry about tins of extra blankets.
