Story:
Gary, Kenny, and I met in Homedale, Idaho and trailered our ATVs through Homedale, into Oregon on OR 201, and turned south on Succor Creek Road. We unloaded just before the large power lines about 4 miles south of the intersection of Oregon 201 and Succor Creek Road.

Mounting up, we continued south on Succor Creek Road through the park to the campground at the Succor Creek State Park. A group of Boy Scouts and a group of rock hounds were camped at the improved camp site. Several other pull out camping spots were along the road before arriving at the improved site.
Before we reached the park we saw government workers apparently spraying for noxious weeds. They had trucks and ATVs with sprayers attached and were off the roads. It looked like they were spraying white top weeds.
After visiting with some campers at the campgrounds we continued on our way and took photos and video of the park from various overlooks.
Turning west off Succor Creek Road and arriving at McIntyre Road, we realized we had passed some scenic overlooks. After a short huddle, we decided to back track to the overlooks and then to cross Succor Creek and ride uphill to some overlooks on the east side of the canyon.
On the way back to our trailers, on Succor Creek Road, a BLM Ranger waved us down and checked our off-road stickers and gave us pamphlets with Oregon ATV regulations. Most of the regulations deal with minors riding ATVs and the requirements for adults riding with them to have passed an Oregon ATV Course in order to properly supervise them. The course is available on the web and is free, at least for now.
The Succor Creek Campground is a no fee, primitive campground with accommodations for camping trailers and tents. It has an outhouse and picnic tables, but no potable water is available.
Tips:
Don't go if it is wet!
