Story:
A out-of-the-way hike in the BLM Canyon Rims Recreation Area. Expansive views at the top, and some nice springs at the canyon bottom. The first mile and a half is easy walking on a well-cairned trail across open terrain; the next mile is a steep descent through a large rockfall area.

Tips:
The trailhead is about 0.5 mile from the main road, 2WD high clearance needed or maybe even 4WD if it washes out more. There are some places to park very close to the main road that would be suitable for a passenger car.
Don't miss the overlooks in this area -- Anticline Overlook, Minor Overlook, and Needles Overlook. They all have spectacular views.
