Story:
Not the normal direction to do this route, so you do not feel the path is so crowded for the majority of the walk. You do pass loads of other walkers going the other way in the middle section though!
The day I did this section the weather was dry, sorry, not many photos, as I forgot to take the camera out when very often!
I stopped quite a few times on the route, why not, the scenery is stunning. So the route can easily be done in about 6 hours if you are keen.
Ba Cottage is an abandoned cottage approx 4 miles south of Kingshouse (near Ba Bridge), just off the path. It has a nice area of flat grass around it, great to pitch a tent.
See my previous day "Fort William to Kinlochleven", then the following days "Ba Cottage to Tyndrum" and "Tyndrum to Crianlarich".
Tips:
I only had a few days, and I wasn't confident that I could achieve the whole of the west Highland Way in the time that I had, so I choose to do the walk in reverse, starting in Fort William, walking south. This way you get the best bit first, then you can decide where you want to stop with a good choice of public transport options to get back to Glasgow. I also elected to carry all my kit, as you will see in the first photo, this allows for flexible overnight stop locations.
