Story:
This is a great hike to take during the afternoon if you are in the Eugene Area. This area is located in the Western Eugene hills off of Summit View. There are great views of the coastal mountains and fern ridge lake. The area is mostly open  Oak Savana with Douglas Fir. The area is also considered Forest Legacy Conservation Land which is funded by the USDA Forest Service, State Forestry and the city of Eugene.
Tips:
To get the trail head off of Summit View- From Churchill High School off of Baily hill road, head west on Baily Hill Road to Warren Street. Take left onto Warren Street. After about a half mile, take right (near Pacific Region Open Bible Church).  This is still Warren Street. After a mile or so, take right onto Summit Sky Blvd. Trail head entrance is about a mile and half or so on the right
