Story:
I took my dog up here for his first hike. He enjoyed the waterfalls and the river. The GPS map isn't that accurate I started using it late(so start at the "end" marker) and then I forgot to turn it on sometimes. We started at the bridge where YJ Rd crosses the river. We made it to Devil's Falls and then kept going. At the Yankee Jim and Canyon Creek Trail intersection we went down Canyon Creek. This seemed to be Private Property, the road is public though. We found one spot to play in the river. We walked until we were half out of water and turned around. Lots of shade but could get grueling mid-day.
Tips:
LOTS of Poison Oak. Some nice hills in the area. Park at the bridge and walk to Devils Falls(Family Friendly) Yankee Jim Rd. is a fun road to drive on, so go slow and enjoy the ride. Lots of fisherman and a few bicyclers. One clean port-a-potty at the bridge. Parking could be tight.
