Story: Jan 8-11 2009

A 44 mile hike (actual traveled 46 miles) in 3 days from Cave Run Lake to Natural Bridge.

The beginning is the most scenic through-tree views and mostly ridgetop hiking. Then there's a 9.5 continuous mile road hike along 1274 and 77.
The road hike is at least scenic.

At the beginning of the trip we cut out the trail around Cave Run Lake by parking along the White Sulfur Horse Camp ATV access roads to start the trip. The trail around Cave Run is pretty broken by constant horse travel and very muddy after a heavy snow melt or rain - we had a failed trip in Jan 07 and covered that part of the trail then, so we did cover that trail, just not on this particular trip.
