Story:
This is a hike I took with my husband Dave during our trip to Maui. It was in 'Iao Valley State Park, which is in the shadow of the 'Iao Needle, a natural rock pinnacle. It takes you through a beautiful rainforest along a stream. This valley was once home to many native Hawaiians, and was the scene of a fierce battle between the forces of King Kamehameha I and the armies of Maui.
