Story:
The trail cuts through rolling hills which, after the recent rains, are green and pretty against the blue sky but after a while it gets a bit boring. Elevation gain is minimal and only noticeable in a couple of places. It's a there-and-back trail and there's nothing at the turn-around point but a gate, some signage and a residential area at the top of Las Virgenes Road. I did notice a picnic table but it was in the sun at the time I was there. There was little traffic on this trail - a few women walking dogs, a few bicyclists, and a couple of joggers. Part of the trail near the Las Virgenes end is subject to overflow from Las Virgenes Creek so if you go after a rain, you might get the bottom of your shoes wet. The trail was mostly dry but I have done this hike during the wet season and the road can get very muddy and difficult to pass in places. There are a lot of signs of wildlife along this trail but I've had few sightings here.

Tips:
There is a parking fee if you park in the lot at the Victory Trailhead but free parking on the road before the park entrance. There is no potable water and little shade on this route. Expect to be plagued by black flies for much of the way. SUNSCREEN.
