A new hike to add to my list if favourites!

We parked on Hui Iwa and then walked back down to Kahekili and walked southbound on the east side of the street. The trail head begins just before the end of the guardrail.

I do think my tracking was a bit off because there is one point after the 10th picture point where it has me jetting way off to the right and I am sure I didn't do that. Especially since we were pretty close to an edge at that point!

Koko Head loop (Hanauma Bay rim trail)

This is the Koko Head loop trail around the rim of hanauma bay. Not to be confused with koko head crater across kalanianiole.

It is paved up until the top where the radio stations are and then it is all loose dirt trail from there.

I did this midday with 22lbs of baby and water on my back. If you don't like direct sunlight this wouldn't be a great hike for midday at all. Otherwise its probably best done early morning or right before dusk.

It was a nice hike with spectacular views of hanauma bay, Hawaii kai and the koolau range and views all the way from Diamond Head to Makapuu Point.
