It was below zero -- very, very cold. The Old city is beautiful, reminding me of an old European City center.  Beautifully maintained buildings, churches, street fronts, and squares. Walk started in light snow, which turned to rain. Conditions underfoot were very slippy, with hard packed ice, especially in the rolling woodland. I decided to go for a walk around the Canadian Parliament.  I started on Wellington by the Centennial Flame, up the Parliment Hill, to the Center Block building and the Peace Tower.  Walked further down Wellington, past the East Block building, the Rideau Canal, and the Chateau Laurier Hotel. There are several geocaches along the way. The trail is nice and well maintain, this is part of the trans-Canada trail. I have some wildlife along the way, beavers, ducks, eagles.
