This wildlife reserve is famous for its beautiful pink flamingoes. We took a 1-hour boat trip. First we headed to a group of several hundreds flamingos. We spend about 10 minutes observing them and listening to their sounds (make sure to turn on your volume when watching the video). Then we continued through a small side canal, and went for a short board walk loop through the jungle. We saw some fish, and a crocodile. Pretty cool! After the boat trip we headed for the beach were we had a delicious seafood lunch with our feet in the sand. Before and after lunch we cooled off in the sea.

Superbe balade

According to the story, it had been about ten years since the last Blue was spotted in the Bay, so I had to get out there to see if I could spot them myself. And spot them we did. We headed out from Fisherman's Village in Monterey on the Pt. Sur Clipper at 9am on a typically foggy morning. But the waters were smooth as glass, even beyond the breakwater; perfect for finding whales. Just beyond aforementioned breakwater we spotted our first of two Minke whales. These are shy little guys and tough to get on camera, so you'll just have to take my word for it. It was slow going at first, but I didn't mind. What a great morning. Then, suddenly, we were greeted by a regular army of Dolphins. I'd seen plenty of dolphins before, but never this many at a shot. The naturalist on board estimated there were about 300 dolphins around us, mostly Northern Right Whale, but a few others as well. They love to ride our bow wave so we just sped along and let them have their fun.Wasn't too long before we cam across a grouping of three humpbacks. They were feeding on krill by swirling around them, then turning sideways and opening their mouths to take in as much as possible. Look for some of these feeding sessions (called "surface lunges" in the videos). There was also a calf among them who apparently wasn't feeding, but was learning how to do it. Then we saw a Black-Footed Albatross -- six-foot wingspan and a beast of a bird. The story goes that they hatch young in Hawaii, fly to Monterey to eat (which takes 10 days) then fly back to Hawaii to feed their young, then do it all over again. Kind of like me and Whole Foods. Finally we saw what we were all looking for, Big Blue. We slowly crept up on them from a distance but finally did close enough to get a sense for their size, which is unspeakably massive. You really get a sense for it when they come straight at you, which they did twice. Word is they can communicate over thousands of miles, so they've been spreading word that the krill is good in Monterey Bay. The Blue Whale is not only the largest living animal on earth it's also the largest animal EVER on earth -- larger than all the dinosaurs. Not sure how long the krill will last, but if you get a chance to get out there and see them, do it!According to the on-board naturalist's count, between the two boats they sent out that morning, we saw 24 Blue Whales, 12 Humpback Whales, 2 Minke Whales, 50 Pacific White-Sided Dolphins, 350 Northern Right Whale Dolphins and 14 Harbor Porpoise. I mean, seriously, pinch me.

Emerson Point Pteserve

Peruvian Amazon 2008: IQT to Ciba Tops

This is the boat trip from Iquitos to the Amazon Explorama [.com] Ciba Tops Lodge. Budapest panorama was added to the World Cultural Heritage List by UNESCO. According to their justification, the banks of the Danube at Budapest also illustrate the various periods of the capital's history, and furthermore the city has one of the world's outstandingly beautiful urban cityscapes. The World Heritage site inscribed in 1987 stretched from the Chain Bridge (Clark Ádám Square) to the Technical University on the Buda side - an area containing the Gellért Baths, Mt. Gellért with its Freedom Monument and the Citadella, and also the building ensemble of the Buda Castle.
Budapest has many faces. This vibrant city calms down a little bit at nights, lights are lit up, and a new city comes out from the twilight. We created this program for those who would like to enjoy the wonderful view of the city swimming in lights in a candlelight atmosphere, and have a romantic dinner what is prepared by European and world champion food sculptor, Attila Tanács, on a boat with live music.
The salon music is performed by 3 members of the Zoltán Kodály Awarded Hungaria Folk Orchestra, including the world-famous violinist Zsigmond Vidak who is the owner of the Bronze Merit Cross of the Hungarian Republic.
We will take you on a 1,5-hour-long cruise on one of our air-conditioned ships. After dinner you can also admire the panorama from the open upper deck of the ship.
Our Dinner& Cruise programs with live music are also available without dinner. If you book a cruise only with drinks, you can enjoy the beautiful night panorama over a glass of champagne and another glass of soft drink, wine or beer.
