SLEDAWG reviewed the destination Monterey Bay on Apr 17, 2011

Day18a - PCH01 (Carmel Highlands, California, United States) Photo
"Monterey Bay in my opinion is best off season (Fall - Winter) when the crowds are gone, traffic is sparse and the locals are out and about. Prices are reasonable for hotels and you can get into the best places to eat. "

SLEDAWG likes Anza-Borrego Desert State Park on Jan 17, 2011

P2081777.JPG (Salton Sea Beach, California, United States) Photo
Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is the largest state park in California. Five hundred miles of dirt roads, 12 wilderness areas and many miles of hiking trails provide visitors with an unparalleled opportunity to experience the wonders of the California Desert. The park is named for Spanish explorer Juan Bautista de Anza and the Spanish word borrego, or bighorn sheep.
