Hi, the guide that you created for this hike contains the information "dog friendly". Unfortunately, that is not correct - dogs are not allowed on Volcan Mountain. :( The information on the website http://www.co.san-diego.ca.us/parks/openspace/Volcan_Mountain_Wilderness.html is actually wrong (I asked, because I'm a dog owner and wanted to go).

SLEDAWG reviewed the destination Monterey Bay on Apr 17, 2011
"Monterey Bay in my opinion is best off season (Fall - Winter) when the crowds are gone, traffic is sparse and the locals are out and about. Prices are reasonable for hotels and you can get into the best places to eat. "

Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is the largest state park in California. Five hundred miles of dirt roads, 12 wilderness areas and many miles of hiking trails provide visitors with an unparalleled opportunity to experience the wonders of the California Desert. The park is named for Spanish explorer Juan Bautista de Anza and the Spanish word borrego, or bighorn sheep.
