Great hike! We did it yesterday in the rain. We were dropped off at the top point of Bocca da Corrida (very steep drive). The hike was superb, the last part of the trail after it diverts to Curral was on a smaller but accessible path. We had downloaded the GPS route from this page to our GPS, which worked great. The intersection where route diverts to Curral is not as clearly as in the pictures (paint has faded), but you are not in doubt. Decent was steep with some loose rocks and the chestnutleaves did not make it less slick. Many great waterfalls and views are stunning. Even in the rain, where you sometimes walk in the clouds. All in all a fairly easy hike for the novice hiker. Watch for the "Snack Bar" at the end of the hike as you get to the asphalt road (concrete road starts further up). At the snack bar you get great coffee as well as local liquor, but the real great surprise is their espetada that are cooked as authentic as can be. If you like meat, dont miss it. 12.5 EUR per person with drinks.
