Tried to ride this trail today, but we were turned away by the guard at the end of the(3,5 KM of the trail) Defense Boulevard. Locals were zipping by on motorcycles and cars, but 2 of us were not welcomed in no unclear way (lots of shouting). We thought we'll be fine as they let us through the check-point at Margalla. Of course they could not explain why we are not allowed to go, especially as the road leads away from the compound.
U were stopped cos u were a non-pakistan riding close to military estate, simple reason in current security situations, if u r in Islamabad, please join our group we ride every sunday to different adventurous tracks and post them online had a really exciting 34 km adventure over the margalla hills to Taxila Museum.
