Currently (2012) doing a double thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail entirely by out-and-back day hikes, spending no nights on the trail. This is part of a larger project I call my 'Personal Continuous Footpath', which connects places I've lived with one another and with places I love, all on a continuous track of footprints.

When I'm not hiking I'm writing -- 3/4 finished a long Sci-Fi/Fantasy Distant Future Apocalyptic trilogy.
