I'm not sure I would agree about the 'easy' bit -- I did this 4 years ago and being really surprised at how steep the "official" trail was (the peakbagging was easy in comparison).



But yes, the views are stunning!

Heh, well I did say relative. :) When compared to the other Tioga Pass area peaks (Dana, Conness, etc) it is easy! The 'official' trail is definitely a bit steep - they didn't use switchbacks like a lot of other places do. You're right - the cross country part was easier than the trail!

Yes. A few weeks later I went back in a group with kids;they all had a blast. The hike out was a little tough for the small ones, but I believe they all went back the next year, so they enjoyed it on the whole!
