Ah, just seeing this trip now, incl photos. Cool. Is there a reason you posted 2 different trips?

posted my ascent and my mate's ascent (Mount WHitney MR). We split and took different routes at the top. This was my route up the direct chute from the notch.

in my opinion, keep to the right on the rock band is better thank keep to the left before reaching the notch. rock is far more solid.

Those are mix of my favorite Tallac pics from the last 5 years. I haven't been yet this season. I'll likely wait for the corn harvest.

Thanks. When does the corn season usually start over there? Saw some cool bikerides in the Alps on your site too. Do you have GPS tracks of those as well?

Corn season most often happens in late March until end of season. The trick is to time it right, do the climb when the snow is firm (good overnight freeze) and with ski crampons. Then eat lunch at top and wait for the the snow to soften up.

Sorry no, my Alps rides were all before I owned a gps.
