An early start for this long & arduous walk. pretty unbelievable that guys run it in 2hours 30mins! We took just under 11 hours although there was icy snow and terrible visibility on the tops which made the steep ascents difficult, especially going up Ingleborough. This is using the newly constructed trail that avoids the thick mud coming of Pen-Y Ghent across Horton MoorHills climbed are Pen-Y-Ghent (2277 feet), Whernside (2415 feet), Ingleborough (2372 feet)
A great walk especially up the waterfall in Gordale scar, heavy snow in the morning.
A lovely walk, no snowshoes required as the path has been bashed. However, a couple of walking poles are useful on the ascents & descents. Midway you can have a drink at The Belvedere or take the chair lift down :-)
A lovely walk in the Suffolk countryside created by Cliff
A lovely walk led by Margaret & Larry through the rolling countryside. Muddy under foot in places after the recent heavy rains, but drying out fast.Culminating in Tea & Cakes at the lovely Ashdon village museum, each tea pot with it's own cozy :-)
An excellent day with over a mile of descent to the coast and the the end. Another coast to coast walk completed.
A day with the Etrex starting to give up :-( Perthus is an amazing border town which is a huge shock to the system after days in the wilds! All the big people stocking up on gallons of drink and fags... A sting in the tail with a big climb at the end of the day
