Tried taking a mt bike up the fire road into bell canyon. It was too steep for me to do much uphill riding. Once at the top I could bike for a few hundred feet and then carry/walk my bike for a bit, then ride a bit more. Overall I think I did about 70% biking and 30% walking. It was all worth it though because I met a very friendly guy...

We did about 15 miles of biking total, but at about mile 13, Ken realized I had lost the brand new etrex legend hcx gps device! I walked/ran back up the trail about 2-3 miles to look for it with no luck.
