Hiking Trails and Trips

A fair bit of snow slogging is involved if you go past the first waterfall. Bring trekking poles and yak tracks and wear gortex hiking shoes/boots.

Hike with Adam, and neither of us had snowshoes because the snow seemed pretty tracked down around the reservoir the last few times we went. About 0.5-1 mile past lower falls the trail turned into ski tracks, and I postholed up to my waist!  Even when it hasn't snowed in a while, it looks like snowshoes are a good idea if you plan to go past lower falls.

Hiking with Ram up bell canyon. We saw a family of deer. We also saw people illegally swimming in the reservoir. We called and reported them when we got back to the parking lot (too bad the phone number wasnt posted up at the reservoir) but by that time they were mostly back at the parking lot. Oh well, got the # bookmarked for next time.
