Today I decided to go on a little walk to Boudha Stupa. I walked through Patan, along the Bagmati River, through Pashupatinath and then got a little lost before finding the stupa. I saw many different faces of the city along the way. After the stupa I took a bus back to Ratna Park and then walked home.
My first visit to the grand palace. Pretty impressive stuff. In fact, everything is so big that it's hard to take pictures!
I saw the advertisement for the "southernmost point of Continental Asia" and I had to go there. However, it turns out to be completely false advertising because you can see from the track that the place that they advertise is not at all the southernmost point. They also advertised "an endless view of the south china sea" but the view was blocked by the thousands of ships waiting to get into the...
A walk down the Farewell Spit to say farewell to New Zealand. We saw a lot of cool birds and met some sheep on the road. Some of the landscape is very surreal, especially the beach on the west coast, definitely check that out. We traveled to the spit by bicycle and the ride up and down the coast is amazing!
A short hike up the hill in Purmamarca. I got a little lost and tried to go around the little house but the trail actually goes straight up.
Went to visit some penguins on a little island.
A day trip out of the city. It was very quiet and peaceful. The fish were jumping up the river which was very entertaining to watch. There is a bakery that sells delicious chocolate covered churros across from the park by the river.
A bus ride through Rio to the shopping mall.
Three days of Iguazu Falls starting with a half day tour of the Brazilian side followed by two full days of the Argentine side. The falls were so exciting that I kept on forgetting to turn on the gps at the beginning of each day so the tracks start a little late.
