Left 3.30 from the bay area to arrive at 7.30 at the Trail head near Tenaya Lake for a planned day hike up to Cloud's Rest and back.However, standing on top of Cloud's Rest I just couldn't resist the view of Half Dome and feeling still fresh I figured I could make a double summit and make it a monster hike and a real challenge. This is my favorite route on the road bike around the Hoge Veluwe. Start and finish in Barneveld which is only 60 km or so from Amsterdam. After about 50 km you reach the Hoge Veluwe area with the Lange Juffer, Posbank, Emma Piramide and the Zijpenberg. You can make different loops there, great work out!
