This is the 10.7-mile version of the creek trail ride, starting from the free parking area beside Almaden Lake Park, then doing the southern side trail sections in both directions. The turn-around point is Harry Road.This could be stretched out by crossing Harry Rd. and continuing on the dirt trail over to Santa Teresa Park, especially as I ride a mountain bike. Quick bike ride from Almaden Lake to where Alamitos Creek Trail crosses Camden near the end of the trail, and back. This was a quick exercise ride and I didn't know how long it would take or what kind of speed I could maintain. I found one geocache along the way to mix things up a little.At the southern turnaround point at the Lexington reservoir dam, the route has changed slightly since the two-year outlet reconstruction project there was finally completed yesterday. This makes the trail very slightly longer, but with a much more gradual (and mostly paved) uphill across the dam, instead of going straight up...

Like my previous ride with some minor variation in trails taken, mainly the dirt track on the east side of the creek in LG Creek Park.
Starting from the trailhead on Meridian near 280, I rode up to the dam at Lexington, and to a geocache that was my turn-around point.I made a few stops, but not many. Because I'm the world's worst hill-climber, rather than battle my way up the two short-but-very-steep sections by the dam I walked the bike up those, but I did ride the lesser climbs.
Eleven miles around Baylands with some backtracking, stopping for finding/maintaining a few geocaches, photography, etc. The ride started and ended in a business parking lot where I have permission to park.
