Backpacking | 6.2 miles
This was a backpacking trip to Cooper Canyon Trail Camp.  We took a trail up to Winston Peak and then descended into the canyon.  We left our gear at the campsite and hiked down to the waterfall which was downstream.  The next day we left camp via a cross-country route up out of the canyon to a forest service road which led back to the trailhead.

This was a snowy and icy climb up Mt Baden-Powell with a lot of cross-country hiking due to impassable trail conditions.  We should have brought crampons.

This is an easy hike to an old mining town site.  Very little remains of the old town today but you might be able to find some artifacts tucked away between boulders.  The maze of rocks and numerous pine trees makes this a great area to explore and adventure around.
