Tallahassee does have a nice Krispy Kreme, but the Cracker Barrel sucks!I managed to stumble on the USAF Armaments Museum, which was the high point of the trip.US98 is a nightmare though. I should have gone back up to I-10.
This was the first part of a vacation trip to see museums in Pensacola.Nothing exciting except that the Camelbak stainless steel insulated bottles were awesome. I got them for staying hydrated, and they stayed cold all day in my tank bag, didn't have a bad taste and didn't leak at all when closed. They were worth the bucks.
The major point of the trip was to see the Naval Aviation museum, however there were NO rooms available for the weekend at any motel, so I had to turn around and go home.I had a reservation at a Red Roof Inn, but when I got there, they told me my confirmation number meant nothing. Stay away from Red Roof Inn!
Took the day off work and went shopping for bike stuff in Sanford & Daytona. Supposedly it was "Biketoberfest" but there was NO vendors at the track. I was only able to get a couple pairs of gloves. Very disappointing.
Some of us on the FJR Forum got together and took a trip to Daytona.

Driving around Washington DC to visit the Smithsonian National Air & Space museum and other places. This was on the '02 SV-650.
Trip to Sargent Cycle motorcycle seat company on my '05 DL-650 V-Strom. Got to tour the factory and actually won a new $450 seat for the V-Strom in the raffle. That's the only thing I've ever won of more than $10 value.
Honda Hoot 2008 on the '02 SV-650. Trip from Orlando to Knoxville. Stopped off at World of Coca-Cola and Warner-Robbins AFB Museum. Rested at Forsyth KOA. Visited 'Old Mill' motorcycle museum. Did Deal's Gap. Ended up at Welcoming Ceremonies at Chilowee Park.
Honda Hoot 2008 on the '02 SV-650. Trip from Oak Ridge WW-II nuclear weapons museum back to Sweetwater KOA. Some of the most beautiful roads and scenery I've ever ridden.
