Hiking in the Almaden Quicksilver County Park, starting at the Mockingbird Hill parking lot. We hiked along the New Almaden Trail to Prospect Trail, then up this steep trail to Randol Trail, which we followed via the Buena Vista Mine Shaft past the Day Tunnel trail to Cape Horn Pass Trail. We then followed that to Hacienda Trail, which took us back to the Mockingbird Hill parking lot.
March hike with the Ohlone Hiking Club. Starting from Skeggs Point on Skyline we hiked via Tafoni Trail to the Sandstone Formation, continued to El Corte de Madera Trail and on to Resolution Trail, where a DC 6 airplane crashed in 1953. Ohlone Hiking Club's February hike, selected by Jeanne Heise. From the parking lot we hiked along Waterfall Loop with a side trip to Knobcone Point, then along the Contour Trail and Alec Canyon Trail to Tripple Falls and back to the parking lot via Alec Canyon Trail. Great hike with lots of beautiful waterfalls.
Great hike from the Pacific coast in McNee Ranch State Park near Devils Slide. Somewhat strenuous because elevation change is over 2000 ft, but the views are spectacular on a clear day.

Great hike on a clear day. Spectacular views of San Francisco, the East Bay, South Bay, and the Pacific.
Great hike from the parking lot at the Sequoias in Portola Valley up the Spring Ridge Trail to Windy Hill Peak, then back down via the Hamms Gulch Trail. The trip is fairly strenuous so bring lots of water. The Spring Ridge Trail is in the open, so it can get hot in the sun. The Hamms Gulch is in the trees and shady.
Hiking from the Village at Squaw up a canyon to Shirley Lake, then continue via High Camp and back down to Squaw Valley.
Hiking from Skeggs Point via Fir Trail and Manzanita Trail then back via Timberview Trail to Methusaleh Trail and Sierra Morena Trail. Takes about two hours.
Hiking from Skeggs Point via El Corte de Madera Creek trail to Resolution trail, then back via Fir trail and Tafoni trail.
