Algeria, Morocco, Spain, France and back to Switzerland
In eight weeks we covered Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Albania, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Spain, Andorra and France. Originally we set out to ride the middle east and North Africa around the Eastern Mediterranean but due to political upheavals in Libya and Syria making travel difficult we modified our travel plans to cover as much of the Western Mediterranean as possible.
From Switzerland there is no option but to ride over the mountains in which ever direction you look. Over the past two years we have been travelling into, over, through and around every known and a few unknown roads in the Alps and the Jura. Here is a sneak peak of some of the mountain passes we have ridden over the past 2 years.
In October 2011 a whole new adventure begins...This time we plan to travel to North Africa taking the route less travelled through southern Tunisia to Algeria and then to Morocco via Spain. The adventure of a lifetime saw Pascal & Arja leave on their motorcycle named Francois to ride from Sydney to Oslo.
