Spring skiing in Winter. We went up this weekend with over 15 friends to hit the slopes. It was 55 degrees but the snow wasn't as bad as expected. On the plus side, hardly anyone else was there. Photos / Videos coming soon.
On the final day of our trip we went to Heavenly for a full day of skiing. The weather was beautiful and the snow stayed soft the whole day. I always forget how amazing the views are from heavenly--unsurpassed anywhere in tahoe.Read about my full day at Heavenly on my travel blog
This weekend I was up in South Tahoe with a few old friends and a lot of new ones. On Saturday the 14 (or so) of us went to Sierra and had a great time. It was pretty tough to all stay together but we never got separated for too long.Read about my ski trip to Sierra on my blog
On Saturday David and I went skiing at Alpine Meadows (well, he snowboarded). For me, it was the my first trip up to the snow this season so I was very excited. The weather was pretty warm and sunny, which meant light clothing and icy slopes in the shade. The snow in the sun wasn't too bad, so we mostly stuck to the slopes in the sun.My Forerunner died a little after lunch...

We got to the room around 11 pm and were all exhausted so we went straight to sleep. On Saturday morning we work up on the earlier side, grabbed some...
The next morning, we brought back some breakfast (and failed miserably: the sweet bread was, in fact, covered in salt, not sugar, and the coffee pot backed up twice, covering the countertops with coffee ground slush, but at least the orange juice was good). Once again we headed up on the Gondola and started on the front side, where we had many runs that we hadn't yet seen. After quickly realizing that...
I almost got a full day of skiing over New Year's weekend but I took a bad spill that involved my left leg staying behind while the rest of me was too eager to get futher down the mountain. An hour or so later my leg had tightened up to the point where left turns were pretty painful, and i decided it wouldn't be a great idea to only rely on my...
Skiing in Homewood during the big storm. We only went for a few hours (bad visibility and we were covered with snow every time we got off a lift), but the powder was great when we didn't get stuck in it.
